June 3 (LBO) A fire broke out aboard an Indian oil tanker undergoing repairs at the main port of Colombo Sunday, injuring 13 people, officials said. June 4 (BBC) Police in Sri Lanka have denied accusations that three abducted media personnel are being tortured in custody. "Police do not torture detainees," head of CID, S Prathapasinghe told BBC Sandeshaya. Human rights activists have accused the police of torturing three abducted workers of Akuna trade union journal.
