Apr 26 (LD) President has commuted the death sentence passed on women to life imprisonment at the request of Minister of Public Estate Management Milroy Fernando, whose wife has been on the death row for the past three years. Apr 26 (TIL) Three people are being treated for rabies after they were bitten by an infected puppy brought into the UK from Sri Lanka. The dog, which died yesterday, was amongst five dogs believed to be infected with the disease in a quarantine centre in Chingford, Essex.
