PCs to get police, land, health & education under 13th amendment |
Jun 1 (LT) A group appointed by UPFA government to present proposals for the implementation of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution has finalized their proposal and will be submitting them to President Mahind Rajapakse on Wednesday. According to the proposals provincial councils will get land, police, health and education powers. Police powers will be limited to minor offences and councils would also retain powers for the acquisition and requisition of lands.
