Five boats, 25 Lankan fishermen arrested off Chennai |
Jun 28 (AT) Five Sri Lankan fishing boats illegally fishing in Indian waters, about 35 nautical miles northeast of Krishnapattinam, near Andhra Pradesh, was arrested on Wednesday, and fish catch impounded. The 25 Lankan in the boats were produced before a city magistrate and were remanded to Puzhal jail. They all are Singala fishermern.
