Paediatric hospital congested: fever patients increase |
Jun 23 (DM) Deputy Director of Lady Ridgeway Paediatric Hospital, Borella – Dr. Vijith Gunasekera said yesterday that around 3,000 children are brought daily to the OPD and the majority of them with fever. As the serious cases are admitted, all six medical wards of the hospital have become full, he said. Among the patients admitted, there have been cases of dengue as well. The biggest problem they are faced with is the lack of space in the Intensive Care Unit.
