Over 40 m seek OPD treatment |
Nov 25 (DN) The total population of Sri Lanka is only 20 million but 42 million people receive treatment from the OPDs of State hospitals annually. This is without the number of patients who obtain treatment from the private sector and other medical institutions. Around 2.5 million patients receive treatment from the Colombo National Hospital (CNH) annually and 300,000 patients receive in-house treatment, Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena said.
