National Archives opens documents to public Govt reports from 1932-1984
May 23 (CT) Department of National Archives took steps Thursday to grant access to the public a number of documents. Persons who are interested in the information contained in a number of reports of govt commissions belonging to the period 1932-1984 will have access to them. This was stated by Director of the Department of National Archives, Saroja Wettasinghe. She further said that this decision was taken to make the mission of the department more meaningful and effective.

China mulls bigger stake in Colombo port
May 24 (ST) Sri Lanka is looking at boosting China’s stake at the Colombo Port and in the process increase the Sri Lanka Ports Authority’s (SLPA) ownership in the new harbours. Polls likely in August

GK depositors shocked by new payment plan
