Jul 19 (FT) Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe has instructed the Justice Ministry secretary to withhold the publication of the gazette notification on the 22nd Amendment until after the Prez Election is conducted. Jun 19 (DM) The bill titled the Twenty-second Amendment to the Constitution was published in a gazette notification, as ordered by the Prez. The relevant gazette notification was issued on July 18, 2024 to amend Article 83 (b) of the Constitution. SC petitioned seeking voting rights for remand prisoners
