Over 200 trapped in Thabbowa |
May 18 (DN) Sri Lanka Air Force personnel rescued a group of eight trapped in the Thabbowa area and sent them to the safe locations yesterday. Puttalam District Secretary N.H.M. May 18 (Reuters) A landslide in Sri Lanka, triggered by more than three days of rain, buried three villages in a central district and the death toll is yet to be determined, govt officials and area residents said on Tuesday. Torrential rains have forced more than 137,000 people from their homes so far and killed at least 11.
