May 20 (Island) A salary hike for private sector employees made after 10 years would be paid with this month’s salary, Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations W.D.J. Seneviratne said yesterday. He said the UPFA government had in 2005 increased the salaries of private sector employees by Rs. 1,000 after passing a Special Act in Parliament. Govt waives import duty on flood relief |
