Aranayake buries its dead |
May 21 (FT) While the military continued to dig bodies out of collapsing mountain slopes, weeping villagers buried 20 people together yesterday in the besieged town of Aranayake, after Tuesday’s landslide buried homes and people in its path. Another landslide occurs in Aranayake |
May 21 (AD) Another landslide has been reported from the Aranayake area today. Reports say that the landslide had occurred in the Berawila Kanda, the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) said. The Kegalle district, which includes Aranayake, was struck by two major landslides following torrential rains.
